About me
I’m a Singapore-based freelance journalist with well over a decade of experience, working primarily in public broadcasting, and also with a number of Singapore-based production houses. I work across the region, on stories ranging from festivals to elections to disaster recovery. I also have extensive experience in business journalism.
Currently, much of my work is through the various arms of the BBC. For four years I worked as a producer on Newsday and Asia Business Report, before I decided that I didn’t want to get up at 4am to go to work anymore. Now, I focus on producing video and written content for BBC News Online, BBC Travel, BBC WorkLife and BBC Future.
In addition, I’ve also produced content for or worked in various capacities with DW, France 24, Viceland, the Sydney Morning Herald and Fortune magazine, among others. Prior to moving to Singapore, I worked at the (Australian) ABC in radio news and current affairs.
I’m comfortable shooting, editing (audio or video), voicing, writing and taking pictures. I occasionally work as a local fixer for various news organisations. And I’m comfortable delivering material live on air. So if you think my skill set might come in handy, please get in touch. I’m always open to a conversation.
